The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Houston
invites applications for one faculty position at the tenured Associate/Full Professor or tenure track Assistant Professor rank in the field of structural engineering and structural mechanics. Candidates with research interests in computation, modeling, and/or experimentation, as well as with multi-disciplinary research directions are encouraged to apply. Candidates are expected to demonstrate nationally and internationally recognized scholarly activities with a strong potential of having externally funded research. The candidates must also demonstrate a commitment towards teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or in a closely related field at the time of appointment. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an internationally recognized, cross-disciplinary research program, and to be able to complement and collaborate with the current faculty in the Department, College, and University.
